Lakeside Boutique Hotel in Austria

This lovely 14-room boutique hotel is situated inside a chateau on the edge of Woerthersee (Lake Worth) in Velden, Austria.  There is a grassy park on the lake side of the hotel and a wooden swimming dock and bath house on the edge of the lake. 2014 World Body Painting Festival in Austria

The 17th edition of the World Body Painting Festival will take place in Austria June 9 through July 26, 2014  in Poertschach, a town on a peninsula in  Lake Woerthersee.  Artists from more then 40 countries will do their best to stun and entertain visitors in an open air park setting known as "Bodypaint City".  For more information see the  official event Web site at

2014 Open Monuments Day in Amsterdam (September 13-14)

The  Dutch Bureau of Monuments and Archaeology has announced the 28th edition of Amsterdam Heritage Weekend will take place Saturday and Sunday, September 13-14, 2014. More than sixty monuments in the city of Amsterdam will be free to the public on those days.
